WAS MAACHAH THE DAUGHTER OF ABSALOM, OR URIEL?

II Chronicles 11:20  And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith. (KJV) II Chronicles 13:2  His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. (KJV)

Maachah's father is Uriel and her mother is Tamar.  Tamar is the daughter of Absalom.  Therefore, Maachah is the daughter of Uriel and the granddaughter of Absalom.  However, in the Hebrew language, the descendant of a famous person (as Absalom was) is said to be their son or daughter (the same way the Jesus was called 'the son of Abraham', even though He was a distant relative).  Therefore Maachah was the direct daughter of Uriel and the indirect daughter of Absalom.
