DOES GOD STAND, OR SIT, TO JUDGE?

Isaiah 3:13  The LORD standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. (KJV) Joel 3:12  Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. (KJV)

These passages are not meant to be taken as literally as the critic is taking them here.  But if we're going to take them literally, then God stands sometimes, and sits sometimes.  Not a contradiction.
